cable fin A
What’s it for?
The cable fin is the part that allows you to match up SRAM’s Eagle or Apex derailleurs with their road shifters. SRAM’s Eagle uses their X Actuation* standard whereas their mechanical road range uses SRAM Exact Actuation*. Fitting our cable fin to a SRAM X Actuation* derailleur converts it to Exact Actuation*, effectively turning it into a road derailleur. The new Apex range uses X Actuation as well, so our cable fin allows you to use older SRAM road shifters, rather than the new Apex shifters.
This means that you can use our cable fin on its own to pair an Eagle* derailleur with SRAM’s 11 speed road shifters, giving you the capacity to run a wide-range 11 speed cassette such as those available from Garbaruk.
Cable fin A comes with a cable adjuster: road shifters don’t have in-built adjusters so you’ll be able to index your gears at the derailleur. The new Apex derailleurs have built in cable adjusters, so are not needed for this set-up.

cable fin compatibility:
- SRAM Eagle derailleurs from the GX*, X01* and XX1* groups
- SRAM Apex Eagle and XPLR
- SRAM 1×11 derailleurs (only if the existing cable fin is held on with a circlip)
- SRAM Eagle derailleurs from the NX* and SX* groups (the cable fin on these derailleurs is not replaceable)
