About Ratio
Ratio Technology was founded in 2018 by Cambridge Engineers Tom Simpson and Felix Barker.
Our aim is to develop ground-breaking drivetrain products: We believe that bicycle drivetrains can be improved. Along the way we’ve set our minds to creating the parts we want to ride on our own bikes. We hope you enjoy them.
Felix
Felix tests things. He formerly rode for Cycling Team Friuli in Italy, where he also tested drivetrains for a well-known bicycle groupset manufacturer. He has been British University and Three-Up National Time Trial Champion.
Tom
Tom comes up with ideas and makes things. When he’s not cycling you’ll find him fell running, ski mountaineering, climbing or building Simpson frames.
Will
Will makes things. He’s a keen cyclocross and mountain bike racer. He’s also a Cambridge Engineer who has joined Ratio’s product development team.
Toby
Toby is another of Ratio’s Engineers. In recent years, rock climbing has become his main passion, but he has raced time trials and road races in the past.
Lewis
Lewis is a black belt kit-boxer, born and raised in the Lake District. In recent years long distance bicycle touring has been his main interest, most recently cycling from Spain to Turkey and back.
