SRAM XDR*, SRAM’s newer generation of freehub body, is 1.85 mm longer than the original SRAM XD* standard. SRAM XD* is commonly found on mountain bikes, whereas SRAM XDR* is often used on road and gravel bikes to use SRAM’s AXS* series of cassettes.
XDR* cassettes are not compatible with SRAM XD* freehubs, but you can fit any XD* cassette to a SRAM XDR* freehub using this simple spacer.
